4 Organizations That Will Make You Feel Good About The World In 2019 - Newsletter Series Nº 6

At the beginning of each year I typically take some time to reflect on the previous year and set some goals.  This year was no different and while reflecting on 2018 I recognized what a wild ride it has been.  After launching JA Elhardt Consulting in late 2017, 2018 proved to be exciting, challenging, and rewarding in many ways.  I recently returned from a short vacation to Colombia to visit some of my family which gave me some time to unplug and reflect on some of the work we had done with our clients.  I started to see some common themes begin to emerge with our clients that really resonated with me.  As it turned out, many times the organization's mission was not purely about providing a product or service to businesses that had a need, but many times the mission was to do something for the benefit of the greater good of the community, the country, or the world.  I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight 4 organizations that really stood out to me as fitting this profile who we are proud to call our clients.

ConsejoSano - based in North Hollywood, CA, ConsejoSano is a healthcare startup that focuses on driving patient engagement in underserved communities across the country.  They have a platform and a team of talented multi lingual individuals who perform outreach to these communities.  The communication is in their native language via phone, email, and SMS.  Driving engagement to clinics for vaccinations, regular checkups, or pre-natal care are just a few of the reasons for reaching out to these populations.  The underserved communities benefit from this type of outreach because sometimes there is stigma around healthcare, obvious language barriers, and visit apprehension that is impacting their health and livelihood.

Caremob - based in Los Angeles, Caremob is one of our most recent partnerships.  Founded by Steve Haase, Caremob has found a great way to bridge the gap between corporate donor and non profit, while capitalizing on the power of social media.  Each time someone views a video, a donation is unlocked from a corporate donor to a non-profit.  The power here is that it is in the hands (or eyes) of the viewer to consume the media and share it with as many people as possible.  The more views the video receives, the more donations the non profits receive.  You can see this in real time and it is apparent how this vehicle can give viewers the ability to make an impact by way of something other than volunteering or making donations themselves, all they have to do is watch… and share with their network.

Motion 117 - Based in Minneapolis, Motion 117 Productions was one of our first clients.  Founded by Jeff Johnson, the team works to create immersive and compelling content through high quality video content that bring focus to companies and organizations that are working to better the world.  Alternatives for People with Autism, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Urban Ventures, and Mounds Park Academy are just a few of the noble organizations Motion 117 Productions has partnered with to create videos with compelling imagery that connects with its audience on a deeply emotional level.  Click here to see more videos from Motion 117.

Marketplace.city – based in Chicago IL, Marketplace.city was brought to life in 2016 with a beta in New York City that proved there was a need for a smart marketplace.  Founded by Chris Foreman and Andrew Watkins, their team works towards simplifying the process of utilizing new technology at the city level, enabling the government to upgrade to smart solutions. Marketplace.city works with a wide range of cities across the globe, including New York City, Barcelona and Dublin.  They facilitate the matching of smart cities and smart city vendors that are working to address important issues such as water management, mobility, citizen engagement, and air quality just to name a few.

Each of these client engagements was very different, sometimes we were optimizing CRM systems and standardizing automated content marketing strategies.  Other situations had us building comprehensive sales programs where we would recruit, train, and manage their inside sales teams.  Despite these differences the feeling was consistent in that the projects were incredibly rewarding by enabling our little consulting practice to indirectly impact the greater good of the community, the country, or the world in a positive way.

To learn more about any of these respectable organizations or to set up some time to talk about how JA Elhardt Consulting helped them to take their sales programs to the next level, give me a shout.  Here’s to a big 2019!
